Cottage cheese casserole is an excellent solution for a hearty breakfast, as well as an unusual dessert. For a change, try adding apples and tangerine zest to it, which will saturate it with vitamins and give it a special piquant taste.
It is necessary
- - 3 eggs;
- - 3 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- - 5 tsp semolina;
- - 1/4 tsp. vanilla sugar;
- - 4 packs of cottage cheese, 180 g each;
- - peel from 3 tangerines (or 1 orange, or 1/4 grapefruit, or 1 lemon);
- - 2 medium apples;
- - 1/4 Art. l. butter;
- - 1 tbsp. l. bread crumbs.
Instructions
Step 1
Separate the yolk of one egg and set aside. The yolk will be used to grease the casserole before baking. Beat the remaining 2 eggs with the remaining protein.
Step 2
Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the beaten eggs. Beat. Then add 5 teaspoons of semolina. Beat everything thoroughly.
Step 3
Wash and peel 3 medium sized tangerines. Grind the peel in a blender.
Step 4
Add the crushed peel and vanilla sugar to the eggs, beaten with sugar and semolina. Beat thoroughly again.
Step 5
Put the cottage cheese in a container, add the egg mixture, mix thoroughly. The finished mass should be homogeneous, soft, without lumps.
For this dish, you must use classic cottage cheese in packs. It can be of any fat content. But the lower the fat content, the drier the casserole will be. Tastier, of course, with 9%.
Grainy or soft curd is not suitable.
Step 6
Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Gently place half of the curd mass on the bottom of the mold. You can use flour instead of bread crumbs.
Step 7
Spread thinly sliced apples on the curd mass. Make sure that the slices lie evenly, there are no empty spots. Any apples are suitable. They can be sweet or sour. The peel can be left on. In the finished casserole, it is not felt.
Step 8
Put the second half of the curd mass on the apples. Pieces of apples can be displaced in this case, leaving empty spaces. The curd mass should be laid out carefully.
All apples should be covered with curd. So that the casserole does not burn, but has a beautiful glossy crust, brush it with yolk on top.
Step 9
Place the casserole in a preheated oven. Bake for 45-50 minutes at t180ºC.
Pierce the casserole with a toothpick to check if it is cooked. When the dish is ready, it will not leave marks on the wooden stick. To make it easier to remove the casserole from the mold, let it cool for 30 minutes.
Bon Appetit!
