Unfortunately, in retail outlets there is no way to taste alcoholic products in order to recognize a fake. How to protect yourself and not buy powdered wine?

Do not purchase wine from wholesale markets and questionable outlets. Choose specialty or company stores for shopping. Always ask the seller to show the certificate of conformity for the goods - he is obliged to do this at the request of the buyer.

If possible, contact the manufacturer of your favorite wine and specify which major retail outlets it supplies its products to or where their brand store is located in your city.

Pay attention to the label. The simpler it is, the more likely it is that there is real wine in the bottle. Powders and fakes are often hidden behind a bright, beautiful label. Intricate bottles and any fancy decoration on the container should also be a signal not to buy the product.

Evaluate the material the bottle is made of. For good wine, use a heavy glass with a depression in the bottom. For powder counterfeiting, they take the most ordinary cheap bottles that are not intended for long-term storage of wine.
Step 5
Compare prices for alcoholic beverages. A natural product won't be cheap. At the very least, the cost of wine should not be less than the cost of the ingredients from which it is made.

Study the composition of the wine on the label carefully. Maybe the manufacturer turned out to be conscientious and honestly admitted that the drink was made from powder.

If there is no such information, see if the grape varieties, the locality where they were harvested, the address of the manufacturer, the sugar content, the aging, the strength of the drink are indicated. If not, the wine is unnatural.

Try to experiment less and buy different brands of wine each time. Stop at a few strains you've tested. And the new taste can be tried at special exhibitions and fairs, where the manufacturers themselves offer their products.
