Step 1
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into short strips. It is necessary to remove the starch from it, so put the chopped potatoes in a bowl and cover it with cold water, let it stand for about 15 minutes. Then drain the water, put the potatoes on a paper kitchen towel or napkins and dry slightly.
Step 2
Preheat a frying pan, pour 100 g of vegetable oil into it, wait for it to heat up, and lay out the potatoes. Stir immediately to coat each slice with oil.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop the onion, put in a pan, stir with potatoes and continue to fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Fry until cooked to your liking. When the potatoes are ready, season with salt and pepper to taste, arrange on plates, sprinkle with finely chopped fresh herbs and serve.
