It is necessary

  • - gauze;
  • - cutting board;
  • - the spoon;
  • - suitable containers;
  • - knife;
  • - vinegar.

Instructions

Step 1

Two substances can be obtained from aloe - gel and milky juice. The gel is a transparent jelly-like substance found inside the leaves of aloe, and the juice is located immediately under the skin of the plant and has a yellowish color. Some formulations use the juice or gel alone, but most drugs are made from crushed aloe stalks, so both are present. In the people, the gel and the milky juice of the plant are regularly confused, so that the name "aloe juice" stuck to both.

Step 2

The juice is obtained from plants that have reached the age of two. Cut off the lower and middle leaves, which have reached fifteen centimeters, rinse them thoroughly with boiled water and cut into small pieces. Put the resulting gruel on cheesecloth folded in two layers and squeeze the juice into a suitable bowl.

Step 3

If you want aloe gel, use the fleshy lower leaves, which have the highest gel content. They should be cut at an oblique angle to the plant. Place them upright in a container for ten to fifteen minutes. During this time, milky juice will have time to flow out of them.

Step 4

Place the leaves of the plant on a cutting board, cut off the tips and cloves with a sharp knife. Then cut the sheet lengthwise into two pieces. Take a teaspoon and separate the mucus and transparent white pulp from the leaf. Do not press too hard with a spoon on the stem, otherwise the juice will get into the gel, and your efforts will be in vain.

Step 5

If you plan to consume aloe internally, rinse the pulp in a mild vinegar solution to completely remove the milky juice from it. Any excess pieces of aloe gel that you are not going to consume anytime soon can be stored in the freezer.
