Wash the chicken, cut it into portions, cover with water and cook for 40-60 minutes. Domestic chickens require a longer cooking time compared to purchased ones. To get a lean broth, nutritionists advise you to drain it after the first boil, add hot water and bring to a boil. Second broth soup is lighter and healthier.
