Red caviar is not only a delicacy, but also a symbol of the holiday. Many people buy it especially for the New Year's table. The choice of red caviar must be approached very responsibly, since a fake product can be very life-threatening.
Instructions
Step 1
When choosing red caviar, the first thing to pay attention to is its appearance and color. In a genuine product, the eggs are small, uniform, crumbly and whole. They do not have films or cracks. The color of a natural product is not saturated, unlike a fake.
Step 2
The eggs of real high-quality red caviar burst when pressed lightly, but at the same time they do not splatter, and in a fake product they are very tough. This method is relevant only if the caviar can be opened or if it is sold by weight.
Step 3
If caviar is packaged in cans, then you need to read the labels on the label very carefully. Please note that red caviar in our country is produced in Kamchatka and Sakhalin and is prepared from June to September during fish spawning. Therefore, if other information is indicated on the red fish label, then you should not buy it, it is most likely a fake product.
Step 4
High-quality real red caviar must necessarily comply with GOST. This means that it was packaged no later than 3 months from the date of the ambassador. If the can indicates that the caviar meets the conditions of the TU, then most likely it was made from a frozen product, and contains an antiseptic - sodium benzonate.
Step 5
The authenticity of red caviar can also be judged by the marking on the can, which must necessarily indicate: the date of manufacture of the product (not packaging), the mark "CAVIAR", the number of the manufacturer, the number of the shift, as well as the index of the fishing industry "P".
Step 6
There is another way to distinguish real red caviar from fake. Take some eggs and place them in a glass of hot water. If they dissolve completely, you have purchased counterfeit products.
Step 7
Remember, in order to fully enjoy the true taste of red caviar, it must be eaten chilled and in small spoons.
