Caviar is a very valuable food product. Currently, this delicacy is sold almost everywhere, but its quality is not always pleasing. Therefore, in order not to harm your health, it is very important to know how to distinguish real from artificial caviar.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, pay attention to the information indicated on the can of caviar. Nowadays, a mixture of natural and artificial caviar has begun to be encountered.
Step 2
According to GOST, caviar can only be processed with table salt without any preservatives, and then frozen. The shelf life of this product at a temperature not exceeding -18 degrees is no more than 1 year and -25 degrees - no more than 14 months. In addition, the packaging should detail the rules for defrosting caviar before use.
Step 3
Pay attention to the jar itself. Real caviar should only be packed in glass jars. Such dishes are chemically neutral, unlike a tin can, in which metals are oxidized. In addition, thanks to the transparency of the container, the color, size and quality of the caviar can be seen. If it looks like it is covered in frost, it is most likely fake. High quality caviar is always crumbly, the eggs are of the same size and beautiful color.
Step 4
Caviar is mined in July-August, so if a different month is indicated on the jar, do not buy it - the quality of such a product will be poor.
Step 5
The lid of the jar should not bend, and even more so should not be swollen. The marking on the lid of a jar with quality caviar should be stamped from the inside, if the numbers are pressed in, this is a counterfeit product.
Step 6
Real and high quality products should be tightly filled with caviar in a jar.
Step 7
The caviar of the first grade has eggs of perfectly matched size. Caviar of the second grade consists of a mixture of "eggs" of different salmon. This makes the product less attractive.
Step 8
This delicacy can also be sold by weight. If the caviar looks like a shapeless mass sticking to the shoulder blade, rest assured that it is a fake.
Step 9
There is a very simple way to check the quality of caviar. To do this, dip 2-3 eggs in hot water. If the caviar is fake, it will dissolve in boiling water.
