Pies are the best snack option in those cases when you don't want to cook at the same time, but you have a strong desire to please your loved ones with something tasty and satisfying.
Such a dish is a pie with nuts and Gouda cheese, which can be prepared from the following set of ingredients:
- fresh parsley (for decoration);
- sifted wheat flour (160 g);
- freshly ground pepper, edible salt, grated nutmeg (to taste);
- ground hazelnuts (120 g);
- green bow with arrows (2 bundles);
- margarine or butter (160 g);
- fat cow's cream (160 g);
- chicken eggs with orange yolk (5 pieces);
- whole milk (210 g);
- Gouda cheese (210 g);
- ham (210 g).
Put ground nuts, wheat flour, sifted twice, softened butter (126 g), one small pinch of table salt in a large container, pour two tbsp. tablespoons of chilled water, mix all the components, and then knead the dough with a plastic consistency.
The prepared dough should first be rolled into a ball, then refrigerated for about an hour. Chop the green onions into thin rings, pour them into the pan, sauté in the remaining melted margarine or butter. Cut ham into small cubes, chop or grate Gouda cheese, mix both ingredients together.
Roll out the dough into a not very thin layer, the diameter of which should be about 30 cm, transfer it to a baking dish that is 4 cm smaller in diameter than the layer of dough. In several places, the layer of dough should be pricked with a fork, then lay out the filling, level it, bend the protruding edges of the cake inward.
Fat cream, whole milk, the remaining chicken eggs, beat together very thoroughly, add grated nutmeg, ground pepper and salt to taste, pour the cake with the whipped mixture. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, put the cake pan on the lowest level and bake it for forty minutes. If desired, garnish the cooked pie with nuts and Gouda cheese with finely chopped parsley.
