This appetizer is based on a combination of smoked fish, boiled shrimp and fresh herbs, flavored with lemon juice and gin.

Ingredients:

  • Frozen shrimp - 400 g;
  • Smoked herring or mackerel - 6 pcs;
  • Onion (large) - 1 pc;
  • Egg (large) - 3 pcs;
  • Dill - a large bunch;
  • Parsley is a large bunch;
  • Green onion feathers - 200 g;
  • Herbal salt;
  • Black pepper;
  • Lemon - 1 pc;
  • Butter - 75 g;
  • Gin or brandy - 50 g.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare fillet of fish, for this it is necessary to wash it, remove the skin and bones. Cut the fish fillet into very small pieces.
  2. Take a saucepan filled with water, which needs to be salted and boiled. Dip the shrimps into the water and boil them for 5-7 minutes. Cool and peel the boiled shrimp. Cut the peeled shrimp into large slices.
  3. Eggs must be boiled hard, then cooled and peeled. Grind the white and yolk on a medium grater. Chop the peeled onion very finely. Chop washed dill, parsley, green onion feathers.
  4. Mix fish, eggs and onions. Add chopped green onions, dill and parsley. Pepper the mixture. Season to taste with a small amount of a mixture of herbs and salt.
  5. Squeeze juice from lemon and mix it with butter. Heat this mixture in a saucepan, place eggs and fish mixture in it. Cover the mixture with a lid and cook, the main thing is that the mass does not boil. While stirring, add brandy or gin to the mixture. Remove from heat and add chopped shrimp to the mixture. If the dish seems too dry, you can add a little more ghee or lemon juice.
  6. Divide the mixture into heat-resistant dishes and heat in the oven over low heat for 10 minutes. Decorate with washed and dried dill sprigs. Serve the dish with sour cream and butter sandwiches; beer is best of all.
