Pies are a symbol of home comfort. This delicacy is a national dish in many countries of the world. Pies can be divided into two types - open and closed. The key to the success of delicious pies is properly prepared dough. This recipe makes an amazing dough for sweet pastries.
Ingredients:
- Granulated sugar - 2 cups (500 g);
- Milk - 1 l;
- Dry instant yeast - 2 p;
- Chicken egg - 6-7 pcs;
- Table salt - 0.5 tsp;
- Butter - 350 g;
- Wheat flour - 2 kg.
Preparation:
- Heat the milk in a saucepan and add instant yeast, stir everything with a whisk until the yeast is completely dissolved in the milk.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and cool to room temperature.
- Grind the eggs white with sugar.
- Mix prepared milk, eggs, melted butter, salt. Gradually introduce flour, avoiding the formation of lumps, stirring vigorously. Knead the dough well and add a couple of tablespoons of sunflower oil at the end.
- Cover the dough with a towel (you can tighten the dish with the dough with cling film) and put it in a warm place. When the dough rises in volume, sediment it and put it back again.
- Sprinkle the workplace with plenty of flour. Put the prepared pie dough on the surface. Form many small balls and let them rest for 7 minutes.
- Let's start forming the pies. Here you can experiment with various fillings, as you like, with cabbage, potatoes, jam, jam, or just ordinary buns with sugar.
- Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, grease with a little oil, put the pies (you can grease the top with yolk for gloss) and put in the oven at 180-190 degrees until tender (about 35-45 minutes). You can determine if the pies are ready by piercing them with a thin wooden stick. If there are pieces of dough on it, then the pies must still reach in the oven.
