This recipe is a modern and light snack. The secret of its popularity is not only in a beautiful and neat presentation, but also in a rather original taste. A piquant note is added to this dish by a combination of different types of citrus fruits, which add sweetness or sourness and give a unique taste and aroma. Sufficiently rich sauce fills the delicate cucumber with its flavor, and the king prawn complements the dish with its representative appearance and, undoubtedly, wonderful taste.
It is necessary
- - royal shrimps, 4-5 pcs;
- - grapefruit, 1 piece;
- - fresh cucumber (medium size), 1 piece
- - pineapple juice, 100 ml;
- For the sauce:
- - orange, 1 piece;
- - lemon, 1 piece;
- - onion (red), 1 piece;
- - apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon;
- - corn starch, 2 g;
- - soy sauce, 2 tablespoons;
- - ground black pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash and dry the whole orange and lemon. Squeeze the juice out of the citrus fruits.
Step 2
Cut the onion into small cubes, place in a bowl, mix with the squeezed juice and put on fire. Pour in the vinegar and then the soy sauce. Spice up. The mixture should boil. Reduce the heat to a minimum and boil the sauce until the liquid in it is halved. Wipe warm sauce using cheesecloth or sieve, put back on fire.
Step 3
In two tablespoons of warm boiling water, grind the starch and pour into the sauce, stir quickly and remove from heat. Cool the finished sauce completely.
Step 4
Let the shrimp defrost at room temperature, free from the shell and intestinal veins.
Step 5
Heat pineapple juice and place cooked shrimps in it. Boil over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Cut into slices 3-4 mm wide cucumber.
Step 7
Peel the grapefruit and remove the white film. Then break into slices.
Step 8
Place a circle of cucumber on a plate and brush it with sauce. Then put a slice of grapefruit, cover with another circle of cucumber, on which you also need to drip the sauce. Put the shrimp on the very top and fasten it with a skewer for reliability.
