Almost everyone loves dumplings and there are a great many recipes for their preparation. Most often, mashed potatoes are used for the filling. However, if you cook dumplings with raw potatoes, then their taste will turn out to be brighter and more saturated.
Ingredients:
- 5 medium-sized potato tubers;
- 1 onion;
- 100 g of cow's milk (cold);
- 1 chicken egg;
- ½ tsp salt;
- 2 cups wheat flour;
- 1/3 cup boiled water (cold);
- sunflower oil (odorless is better);
- spice.
Preparation:
- First you need to prepare the filling. To do this, you need to peel the onion, wash it and then use a sharp knife to cut it into very small cubes.
- After that, you need to do potatoes. It is peeled, washed well and all eyes are removed. Then it can be crushed in two ways. First, with a grater. The grated potatoes will need to be squeezed out well to remove all the juice. Secondly, this vegetable can be cut, like onions, into very small cubes. The second option, although laborious, but the taste of ready-made dumplings will be unique.
- Then the potatoes and onions are mixed. Salt, spices are poured into the resulting mass, and very little sunflower oil is poured into the resulting mass. Mix everything well and set aside.
- Now you need to start preparing the dough. To do this, sift flour on the table through a sieve. Then, in the middle of the formed pile, a depression is made into which the previously prepared mixture should be poured. It contains: water, milk, egg, salt and oil. After that, you should knead a fairly tight dough. If, as a result, it comes out thinner for you, then just add a little flour. The dough should be kneaded very well. Then it is covered with a towel and allowed to lie down for at least a quarter of an hour.
- When the filling and dough are ready, you can proceed to the direct preparation of the dumplings. To do this, you first need to make small and rather thin cakes. The filling is placed in the middle of each of them, and the edges are pinched.
- After the dumplings are ready, all that remains is to boil them. To do this, they are dipped in boiling water, which must first be salted. After the water boils again, the fire is reduced and the dumplings are boiled for 12-15 minutes. Remember to add sour cream to each plate when serving.
