Shakshuka is a traditional Israeli food served for breakfast or lunch. Basically, they are scrambled eggs cooked in lots of hot vegetable sauce.
It is necessary
- - 2 eggs;
- - 2 tomatoes;
- - 1 clove of garlic;
- - chili to taste;
- - 1 bell pepper;
- - ½ head of a red onion;
- - greens;
- - olive oil;
- - salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop the garlic and chili. Scald the tomatoes with boiling water, peel them off and cut into cubes. Cut the bell pepper and red onion into large strips.
Step 2
Fry the garlic and chili in olive oil for minutes. Then add bell peppers, onions to them and cook for a few more minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer over low heat until thickened.
Step 3
Move the finished sauce a little to the edges of the pan, and break the eggs in the middle. Salt and pepper everything to taste. When the eggs are fried, sprinkle the shakshuka with plenty of greens and serve with fresh bread.
