Milk soup with fish is a fairly popular Finnish dish that you will undoubtedly enjoy. Almost any red fish is suitable for making such a soup, but it is best to use trout, salmon or pink salmon.
Ingredients:
- 0.5 kg of red fish;
- 1 large onion;
- 6 peas of black allspice;
- ground black pepper, salt, favorite spices;
- 2 potato tubers;
- ½ liter of cow's milk;
- 4 leaves of lavrushka;
- favorite fresh herbs.
Preparation:
- Potato tubers should be peeled and rinsed thoroughly. Then they are cut with a sharp knife into large enough pieces.
- Put the chopped potatoes in a saucepan and pour clean water into it. Then the container is placed on a hot stove. After the water boils, the fire should be reduced. Boil potatoes almost until cooked.
- Pour the milk into another, not very large saucepan and heat it on the stove.
- After the milk is hot, it will need to be poured into a pot of potatoes.
- Peel and rinse the fish. Use a sharp knife to cut it into large enough pieces. Then put them in the soup pot.
- After the soup starts to boil, you need to reduce the heat to a minimum. With a slight boil, the dish should cook for about 10 minutes.
- The husks should be removed from the onion. Then it is rinsed thoroughly in cold water and cut into very small cubes. After that, the onions should be poured into a frying pan, into which a little sunflower oil must first be poured. Fry onions over medium heat until pleasant golden brown.
- After the fish has boiled for 10 minutes, pour the frying into the soup. At the same time, add lavrushka, black ground pepper, salt, and your favorite seasonings to the saucepan. Then the soup is cooked for another 5 minutes and removed from the stove. Place a lid on the pot and let the dish sit for at least 20 minutes.
- Do not forget to add washed and finely chopped fresh herbs into the soup poured into bowls.
