Chicken nuggets are small pieces of chicken fillet breaded and fried in vegetable oil. Coconut flakes give the dish an unusual exotic taste.
It is necessary
- - 1 egg;
- - 500 grams of chicken fillet;
- - 150 grams of coconut flakes;
- - vegetable oil for frying;
- - boning flour.
- For the marinade:
- - 1 tbsp. vegetable oil;
- - juice and zest of half a lemon;
- - 3 tbsp. soy sauce;
- - a small piece of ginger;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into medium, oblong pieces.
Step 2
Peel the ginger and cut into small pieces.
Step 3
Remove the zest from the lemon by grating on a fine grater. Squeeze the juice out of half a lemon.
Step 4
Transfer the fillet to a bowl, add all the ingredients required for the marinade. Season with salt and stir.
Step 5
Leave to marinate for a few hours.
Step 6
Prepare three plates. The first with flour, the second with a mixture of eggs, 2 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt, the third with coconut.
Step 7
Take a piece of fillet, roll it in flour, then egg and coconut.
Step 8
Preheat a frying pan with vegetable oil, add the meat.
Step 9
Cook for a few minutes on each side.
Step 10
Reduce heat, cover, bring to full readiness.
Step 11
Carefully remove the finished nuggets, transfer them to a plate, cool slightly.
Step 12
Serve hot with boiled rice or mashed potatoes.
