Small muffins with raisins or some kind of berries were called such an unusual name. Usually baba has a cylindrical shape, it is saturated with sweet syrup, which contains alcohol, for example, in this recipe it is rum.
It is necessary
- - 170 g butter;
- - 150 g flour;
- - 50 g dried cherries;
- - 3 eggs;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar;
- - yeast, sea salt.
- For syrup:
- - 180 g of sugar;
- - 70 ml of dark rum.
Instructions
Step 1
Put the oven to preheat to 220 degrees.
Step 2
Add 1 tbsp to the yeast. a spoonful of sugar, a spoonful of flour, a pinch of sea salt, pour in 50 ml of warm water. Stir the dough, leave it for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Whisk the butter in a food processor, add eggs one at a time. Add flour, add dough, dried cherries, mix. The dough is ready.
Step 4
Divide the dough into small tins, half full. Leave the molds in a draft-free area for 30 minutes.
Step 5
When the dough is fine, place the molds in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes. During this time, you will have time to prepare the syrup.
Step 6
Pour 200 ml of water into a saucepan, add 180 g of sugar, pour in dark rum. Boil everything over low heat, the syrup should thicken. Then strain it.
Step 7
Remove the finished buns from the molds, cool a little, fill with syrup, leave for half an hour to soak - this will make the delicacy more tender.
