Those who have a garden and do not know what to do with a large harvest of apples can be given the following advice: the harvested apples need to be dried, and in winter they should be used for baking very tasty and healthy puff pastries, which are also quite quick cooking.
It is necessary
- - puff pastry (yeast, yeast-free) 0.5 kg
- - dried apples 3 handfuls
- - prunes 100 g
- - raisins 50 g
- - dried apricots 100 g
- - flour (for rolling out the dough)
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to wash all the dried fruits. Put dried apples in a separate bowl, pour boiling water over them and cover with a lid. Then you need to wait about 30 minutes until they swell. The water should be at the same level as the apples, no more water needs to be poured. The same should be done with other dried fruits.
Step 2
The next step is to drain the water from the dried fruits and apples and rotate them in a meat grinder. If the filling is very thick, then you can add a little water and then stir.
Step 3
Roll out the dough (using flour to prevent the dough from sticking) and cut into squares or rectangles of the same size. Put the filling on half of the piece and cover it with the other half. Then the edges of the puff must be glued together with the white of a raw egg or simply by pressing your fingers along the entire perimeter of the puff. Then put on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 200 degrees until a beautiful golden brown crust.
