Grated Apple Pie Recipe

Any variety of juicy sweet and sour apples is suitable for this pie.

Ingredients:

- 200 g of butter;

- 200 g creamy margarine;

- 1.5 kg of apples;

- 2 eggs;

- 1, 5 glasses of sugar;

- 5 glasses of flour;

- 1 teaspoon of baking soda;

- vinegar;

- icing sugar.

Melt butter and margarine, add sugar, eggs, soda, slaked in vinegar, flour. Divide the resulting dough (it will be quite fat) into 2 parts: two thirds and one third (for the second part, take a little more than one third, and for the first - a little less).

Distribute most of it over the bottom of the baking sheet, make sides. Peel and grate the apples. You can sprinkle it with lemon juice a little to avoid darkening. If the apples are sour, sprinkle some of the sugar on the apples. Distribute the apples over the dough.

Cover the apples with the remaining dough, crumbling it, sprinkling flour into small pieces. Place the baking sheet with the contents in the hot oven.

The cake is baked for about 20-30 minutes. It should turn pink from above and from the sides, it is also necessary that the sides lag behind the walls of the baking sheet. As soon as the cake has cooled, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.

Flame-Scorched Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

- 275 g flour;

- 150 g butter;

- 100 g of icing sugar;

- 1 egg;

- 1 kg of apples;

- juice of 1 lemon;

- 50 g of walnut kernels;

- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon;

- 12-15 g of vanilla sugar;

- zest of 1 lemon;

- a pinch of ground cloves (on the tip of a knife);

- 1/3 cup apricot marmalade;

- 1 glass of cognac (60 g).

Combine sifted flour, icing sugar, softened butter, egg and form a dough. Then put the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Peel the apples, cut into 4 pieces, and core. Then cut the pieces into wedges and dip in lemon juice. Chop the nuts and mix with other spices and vanilla sugar.

Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. Grease a baking sheet and use a rolling pin to place the dough on it. Use the sharp end of a knife or fork to pierce the dough in several places. Spread the nut mixture over the surface of the dough. Lay apple slices in rows on top of it.

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven to a temperature of 200 ° C. The cake is baked for about 35 minutes.

Remove the finished pie from the oven, grease it with apricot marmalade while warm. Pour brandy into a ladle, heat and light. Pour over the pie with burning cognac.
