The ancient Slavic tradition - to serve alcoholic drinks on honey for a feast - is almost forgotten today. And it’s not so easy to find such drinks in the store … But you can use the recipes slightly adapted to modern times, which were used by our ancestors.
It is necessary
- "Honey Blast"
- - vodka 1 l;
- - inshell pine nuts 200 g;
- - water 50 ml;
- - honey 50 g.
- "Honey and pear wine"
- - - water 4 l;
- - pears 1 kg;
- - honey 200 g;
- - sugar 150 g
- - yeast 30 g
- - cinnamon 1 tsp
- "Men's Mead"
- - vodka 1 l;
- - water 0.5 l;
- - honey 400 g;
- - cinnamon 1 tsp;
- - vanillin 1 pack;
- - lemon 1 pc.
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare the Honey Blast drink, pour boiling water over the nuts and leave for 10 minutes, then rinse and pour boiling water over the nuts, let dry. Transfer to a jar and top with vodka. Place in a dark place for 2 weeks. Then boil water and dilute honey in it. Strain the vodka, removing all the nuts. Add diluted chilled honey to the tincture and stir. Cover and leave for a week. Then strain.
Step 2
Drink "Honey Pear Wine"
Wash the pears and cut into thin slices, removing the seeds. Pour water into a saucepan, add fruit and boil, then let the pears sit for 2 hours. Strain, add sugar, yeast, honey, cinnamon, mix thoroughly and, cover loosely, put in a dark, warm place to ferment overnight. Strain in the morning, bottle.
Step 3
Drink "Men's Mead"
Boil water and dilute honey in it. Add spices and lemon zest. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Then pour in the vodka, mix thoroughly and let cool. Drink in small amounts.
