Forshmak is a herring-based dish. It can be spread on bread, or can be used as an independent snack. In both cases, it turns out incredibly tasty.
It is necessary
- - 4 hard boiled eggs;
- - 1, 5 tablespoons of sugar;
- - 200 g of slightly salted herring;
- - 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil;
- - 1 large apple;
- - 1 onion;
- - 40 g green onions;
- - 2 tablespoons of vinegar;
- - a pinch of pepper;
- - 2 slices of white bread without a crust.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the herring well. Free it from skin and bones. Be sure to keep the tail and head. Grind herring meat using a meat grinder.
Step 2
Wash the onion and apple and peel them. Core the apple. Soak the bread in milk.
Step 3
Cut the apple and onion into large slices. Squeeze the bread, and pass it through a meat grinder together with the minced herring, onion and apple. Mix the whole mixture thoroughly. Chop the green onion finely.
Step 4
For 4 eggs, it is necessary to separate the whites from the yolks. Finely chop the squirrels and combine with herring mince. Rub the yolks with 1 tablespoon of vinegar. You also need to add pepper and the remaining vinegar to the minced meat. Mix the whole mass thoroughly.
Step 5
Put the resulting mass on a plate, shaping the herring. Attach the tail and head of the fish in the appropriate places.
Step 6
Sprinkle green onions over the dish to garnish.
Step 7
Add pepper, sugar and vegetable oil to the yolks, mashed with vinegar. Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly and pour the forshmak on it.
