Ruddy and sweet cherries are a wonderful dessert for tea. The recipe is the simplest, making such donuts is not difficult.

- - 180 ml of milk;
- - 180 ml buttermilk or sour milk;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 40 g baking powder;
- - 170 g dried cherries (cherries can be used);

Step 1
Sift flour, add baking powder and a little salt. Add granulated sugar and stir all ingredients. Rub the sifted flour well with butter to get the wet crumb out. Add dried berries (cherries or cherries that you have).

Beat the eggs in a deep bowl. Pour the milk into the eggs slowly while whisking. Rub the lemon zest into beaten eggs with milk and knead the dough. Roll it into a ball, wrap it in plastic and leave to cool for 30-40 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, roll it out. The thickness should be 2.5 cm. Take a mug and use it to make round dough pieces. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and place the round pieces on it. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the cakes.
Step 4
Bake the cakes until browned for 20-25 minutes. Serve dessert with jam, jam or butter. The crumpets can be served warm or cold.
