Creamy chicken fillet with basil pesto is quick and easy. Typically, this dish is served with potatoes, rice, polenta, or fried green beans.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - chicken fillet - 4 pieces of 200 grams each;
- - heavy cream from 30% - 150 milliliters;
- - one large onion;
- - salt to taste.
- Take for pesto:
- - a bunch of green basil;
- - olive oil - 30 milliliters;
- - a clove of garlic;
- - walnuts - 10 halves;
- - salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the onion into rings, cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the chicken until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
Step 2
Reduce heat, put onion into the pan. Fry until translucent, stirring occasionally. Seven minutes will be enough. Return the chicken to the pan, pour in water (150 milliliters). Simmer for about ten minutes over moderate heat with the lid open.
Step 3
Make pesto. You can make things easier for yourself by purchasing a jar of ready-made pesto. Put all the pesto ingredients in a bowl, grind with an immersion blender.
Step 4
Pour the cream into the chicken. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for five minutes. Add pesto, stir, turn off. Chicken fillet in cream is ready, you can send the dish to the table and enjoy your meal!
