Preparing delicious fish dishes can be very simple and effortless. And if you want to declare one day of the week a fish one, you can diversify it with baked fish with spices and tender meatballs.
Fish baked with spices
Fans of original recipes may like this dish. To prepare it, you will need the following ingredients:
- any fatty fish, 1-2 pieces;
- lime, 1 piece;
- a sprig of fresh or dried rosemary, 0.5 teaspoon;
- garlic, a few cloves;
- olive oil;
- salt.
Initially, the marinade is prepared. For this, the garlic is cut into thin slices, and the rosemary (fresh) is cut very finely. If the seasoning is dry, you should take half a teaspoon. Garlic, seasoning, salt are placed in a bowl, juice is squeezed out from half of the lime. Everything is shaken up. A couple of tablespoons of olive oil is added. The marinade dressing is ready.
A sheet of foil is laid on a baking sheet. The fish should be placed in the middle. 3-4 oblique incisions are made on the fish cleaned of scales and entrails. Place a garlic and rosemary dressing in each incision. Small pieces of lime are also added there. The fish is generously poured with marinade. Raise the edges of the foil slightly so that the juice does not flow onto the baking sheet. The fish should be baked in the oven for about 20 minutes.
The ready-made aromatic dish can be served hot with mashed potatoes.
Fish meatballs
It is difficult for children to eat fish because of the bones in it. Therefore, they often simply reject it. Fish Balls Recipe makes a delicious boneless meal that little ones might like.
Required Ingredients:
- 800 grams of any low-bone fish or fish fillet;
- 100 grams of white stale bread (no crust);
- 4 onions;
- 1 raw egg;
- 4 tablespoons of raw milk;
- 2 tablespoons of flour (any);
- 4 tablespoons of sunflower oil (for frying).
The fish is freed from the ridge and bones. If there are scales, they can be removed directly from the skin. Stale bread must first be soaked in milk. Then grind fish fillets, onions and squeezed bread in a meat grinder or using a blender.
Add a little salt and pepper the minced fish, beat a raw egg into it and add the milk that remains from soaking the bread. Beat the mixture well until fluffy.
Form small balls from the finished mass and roll them in flour. Pour vegetable oil into a hot pan, heat and put meatballs for frying. Brown them on all sides. Put in a separate saucepan with red tomato sauce and simmer for another ten minutes.
Minced fish can be made from capelin. This does not require removing the bones from it. Only remove heads and entrails. Delicate bones are well ground and not felt at all.
Red meatball sauce
Required Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of flour;
- 1 tablespoon of butter;
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste;
- 1 teaspoon of sugar;
- 0.5 liters of broth;
- salt.
Flour should be fried in butter. Introduce half of the broth into it and grind all the lumps. Add a little salt and sugar. Stir the tomato in the remaining broth and add to the sauce. Boil it for about ten minutes over low heat. Fish meatballs can be served with potatoes and boiled rice, sprinkled with sauce.
