Tea is considered one of the oldest non-alcoholic drinks. Even in ancient times, people brewed petals of fragrant flowers and healthy herbs in order to get a tonic and tasty drink. It was used not only to quench thirst, but also as a tonic and even a remedy.
Today there are many different types of tea, which is still one of the most popular drinks. Despite the claims of many nutritionists and health professionals who recommend replacing tea with plain water, drinking it in limited quantities is beneficial for your health. Moreover, each type of tea has its own beneficial effect on the human body.
Black tea
This drink is rich in caffeine, which in moderate doses brings great benefits - it stimulates the activity of the central nervous system, strengthens the work of the heart and increases physical performance. Of course, you should not get carried away with caffeine, but 2 cups of black tea a day will only benefit the body.
Black tea helps lower blood cholesterol levels, improves metabolism and helps to reduce excess weight. That is why this drink is recommended for diets. It also has a bactericidal effect, especially when combined with citrus fruits, and reduces the risk of developing diabetes mellitus.
Black tea is not recommended for people with high blood pressure and glaucoma. You should also not drink it before bedtime.
Green tea
No less popular today is green tea, which has long been valued for its thirst quenching and antioxidant properties. It helps to remove harmful compounds from the body and fight pathogens, which helps to strengthen the immune system. It also contains many beneficial trace elements and vitamins.
Green tea lowers blood cholesterol levels, relieves drowsiness, has a tonic effect on the body and improves the condition of blood vessels. It contains theine, an analogue of caffeine, which also promotes mental alertness.
White tea
This type of tea is recommended for people with high blood pressure, as it contains a minimum amount of caffeine. It has a relaxing effect on the body, promotes wound healing and increases blood clotting. It does not undergo heat treatment, therefore it retains a large amount of trace elements, amino acids and vitamins. White tea is recommended for people with high acidity and gastritis.
White tea should only be brewed with warm water in glass, porcelain or ceramic dishes. If you pour boiling water over it, it will be considered "dead", that is, it will lose most of its nutrients and lose its unique taste.
Hibiscus
This tea is made from Sudanese rose petals and is therefore caffeine-free. It has a calming effect, which is why it is recommended to drink it for nervous disorders, stress or insomnia. Hibiscus strengthens blood vessels and removes toxins from the body. It can be used as an antispasmodic and diuretic.
