Among the recipes for coffee cocktails with alcohol - Irish coffee (Irish coffee) is one of the most popular and famous. Correctly prepared irish coffee has excellent taste and strength.
Irish coffee - the invention of bartender Joe Sheridan - is considered the best coffee cocktail with alcohol of all possible variations. Whiskey gives this coffee drink strength, heavy cream gives it softness, black coffee gives an invigorating bright aroma, and sugar syrup (or regular sugar) gives a slight sweetness.
To prepare 1 portion of Irish coffee, you will need a special glass (glass goblet with a handle) and the following ingredients: 100 ml of freshly brewed coffee, 30 ml of whiskey (Irish Jameson was used in the original), sugar or sugar syrup to taste and heavy cream of 30% fat. For simplicity, you can use whipped cream.
Whiskey must be carefully poured into a glass goblet, then coffee (espresso is ideal, but black coffee brewed in cezve without spices is also possible) and syrup. You do not need to mix them. The last ingredient is cold cream. If you are using whipped cream, you can simply place the cap of the cream on the surface of the coffee, if you are using liquid heavy cream, then gently pour into the glass in a thin stream until the cream creates a lush “cap”. You can decorate the top with cinnamon, but it is better to leave the cocktail in its original form.
Irish coffee should be drunk without a straw, from the edge of the glass, enjoying a mixture of hot and cold flavors and whiskey aroma.
