Famous Ukrainian dumplings, a dish of national cuisine, are prepared from unleavened dough, then boiled and served with sour cream, cracklings or cottage cheese.
It is necessary
- Wheat flour 400 g;
- Butter (you can take ghee) 100 g;
- Eggs 2 pcs;
- Water -0.5 cups;
- Sour cream 0.5 cups;
- Salt teaspoon (incomplete).
Instructions
Step 1
Sift the flour, then make a small funnel (deepening) in it. Carefully pour half a glass of water into a funnel, add 2 tablespoons of butter and eggs, beaten with salt. Mix everything thoroughly and knead not very steep smooth dough.
Step 2
Roll out the dough into an even layer 0.5 centimeters thick, then cut the layer into small pieces of arbitrary shape.
Step 3
Dumplings are cooked just before serving; for this, dip the pieces of dough in boiling salted water and cook for about ten minutes with a slight boil. When all the dumplings in the pan float to the surface, you can remove them. Transfer the finished dumplings with a slotted spoon to a sieve and let the water drain.
Step 4
Heat oil in a frying pan, put ready-made dumplings in it, fry slightly, systematically shaking the pan and can serve. Serve sour cream with such dumplings.
