Feijoa salad

To prepare an original fruit salad for dessert, use the following set of ingredients:

- feijoa (3 pcs.);

- medium sized sweet apples (2 pcs.);

- sweet tangerine (1 pc.);

- blue raisins (2-3 tablespoons);

- red dessert wine (0.5 glasses);

- Chinese cabbage (0.5 fork);

- cream with a fat content of 30% (3 tablespoons);

- vanilla sugar (2 teaspoons).

Rinse the fruit thoroughly in running water and dry at room temperature. Cut the feijoa into thin rings with peel.

In ripe feijoa, the flesh becomes transparent. An unripe fruit is white when cut, and a spoiled one turns brown. Quality, but unripe fruits can ripen at home at room temperature.

Peel the apples, cores and seeds, cut into slices and quickly mix with the exotic fruit. Remove the rind from the tangerine, divide the fruit into wedges and cut each in half. Heat the dessert wine, steam the blue raisins in it and discard the dried fruit on a sieve.

Combine all the ingredients of the culinary dish. Cover the serving dishes with Peking cabbage leaves (you can replace it with lettuce), then place the fruit mixture on a green bedding in a slide.

Prepare the dressing: whisk the heavy cream, vanilla sugar and a small amount (to your liking) of chilled dessert wine with a broom. Pour the prepared substance over the salad. If desired, the dish can be lightly sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds.

Raw feijoa jam recipe

One of the easiest ways to quickly process large quantities of exotic fruits is to grind the feijoa with sugar. For the recipe for this healthy treat, you will need:

- feijoa (1 kg);

- granulated sugar (1 kg).

Rinse and dry ripe fruits, then scroll them in a blender. In the process of grinding feijoa in mashed potatoes, add granulated sugar in small portions. Put the resulting mass in sterilized glass jars and close with plastic lids. When the jam is jelly-like and deep green in color, you can eat it.

The mashed feijoa delicacy retains all the beneficial properties of a subtropical fruit. Raw jam can be stored in the refrigerator compartment and can be used to decorate biscuits in particular.

Exotic pie filling

If you want to delight your guests with a non-trivial concoction, try filling the feijoa with a sweet cake. For the filling you will need:

- feijoa (0.5 kg);

- chicken egg (2 pcs.);

- sour cream (1 glass);

- granulated sugar (150 g);

- corn starch (2 teaspoons);

- any jam (3 tablespoons).

Break the eggs into a suitable container, combine with sour cream, granulated sugar and starch, then beat everything well. Rinse the feijoa and cut into thin half rings. Stir the ingredients and use for the filling.

It is recommended to fill open pies with feijoa, as the fruits are highly boiled during the baking process. Let the pastry sit in the oven for 25 minutes, then remove it, place some chopped feijoa in the middle and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Then cook the cake for another 10-15 minutes.
