Children's food allergies are a common problem. Some children are allergic to meat, in which case the question arises of providing the growing body with a sufficient amount of proteins and amino acids from other sources.
Soybeans and Eggs are Sources of Protein
Meat can be replaced with a fairly large number of different products. The leader in this list, of course, is soy, which is an excellent source of protein for a growing body. It should be noted that soy protein is extremely easy for the body to digest, and the number of dishes that can be prepared from these beans is truly enormous. Depending on the way it is processed, soy can take on the flavor and texture of meat, poultry or fish, allowing you to experiment with a myriad of recipes to make your child's nutrition varied and interesting. Pay attention to other soy products - milk, cheese, cottage cheese. They will come to the rescue if your child is allergic to milk.
Eggs can largely replace meat. They are an excellent source of protein, biotin, iron, pantothenic and folate, selenium, riboflavin, and many vitamins. Doctors believe that excessive consumption of eggs can cause health problems, mainly due to the high fat content of the yolk, but only egg whites can be used to supply the growing body with enough amino acids.
Other options
If your child is only allergic to meat, substitute fish for it. It is also a great source of protein, vitamins, beneficial nutrients and unsaturated fatty acids that support brain development and metabolism.
Another meat substitute can be nuts. Unfortunately, they are quite strong allergens, so it is highly likely that if your child is allergic to meat, nuts are also contraindicated for him (especially peanuts). However, if you are not allergic to nuts, they are quite capable of replacing meat in the diet. They contain a huge amount of vitamins B6 and E, useful substances (for example, pantothenic acid, copper, biotin, chromium, magnesium) and, of course, protein. It should be borne in mind that nuts are a fairly fatty food, so their number should be limited, especially if your child has digestive problems or is overweight.
A variety of legumes can also replace meat, as they are high in protein. It should be borne in mind that this protein is not digested as easily as soy. Beans, red and white beans, chickpeas, and other legumes will help provide the growing body with all the amino acids and nutrients it needs, and can be used in a wide variety of foods.
