In the east, where, in fact, this spice grows, even semolina is cooked with vanilla. Cinnamon is also added to baked goods, but, unlike vanilla, it is closer to the readiness of the dish. Warming mulled wine is not brewed without cinnamon. It conveys its mysterious woody, incomparable aroma to coffee and teas. Cinnamon is added to marinades for chicken and lamb, it makes the meat more tender.

Cinnamon and vanilla are recognized as some of the strongest aromatic aphrodisiacs. Cinnamon is added to perfume if you want to indicate notes of the east, and vanilla gives the overall smell an innocence.
