There are tons of recipes that suggest a variety of ways to make this amazing drink. One of the most successful and interesting combinations is the union of wine and freshly brewed coffee. Invigorating coffee mulled wine leaves no one indifferent.
Ingredients (per two servings):
- Carnation - 5 buds;
- Granulated sugar - 3 tbsp;
- Red wine - 1 tbsp;
- Orange - 1 pc;
- Fresh coffee - 1 tbsp;
- Cinnamon is half of one stick.
Preparation:
- First, let's brew coffee. We choose any familiar way - for example, “standard” cooking in a Turk.
- We take a small saucepan. Pour 200 ml of wine (only a red variety is suitable, preferably of impeccable quality), as well as prepared coffee in the same volume.
- Pour in both spices.
- Wash the orange thoroughly. Cut into slices without peeling.
- We send citrus to a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients. We place the dishes on low heat.
- After the drink "reaches" the temperature of 80 degrees, it must be sweetened (as a rule, three spoons is quite enough). Stir well. If desired, sugar can be replaced with honey - it's a matter of taste.
- We warm up the glasses. Mulled wine is usually served in an irish glass (this is the name given to a figured glass on a short stem, its characteristic features are the presence of an assembly - a "skirt" and a comfortable handle).
- Filter the finished drink through a fine sieve. Pour into glasses and then decorate with an orange / lemon wedge.
Mulled wine has a pronounced warming effect, quickly relaxes and relieves stress. It acquires particular value in a cold, dank season, when we are doubly lacking in bright sunshine and a positive mood.
