Undoubtedly, the best dish in the summer heat is salad. In order for it to be not only tasty and healthy, but also to look great, you need to pay special attention to cutting vegetables. One of the key ingredients in almost any vegetable salad is pepper. There are tons of ways to slice peppers beautifully, even if you're not the chef.

It is necessary

  • - a board for cutting vegetables
  • - sharp large knife
  • - a knife for cleaning vegetables
  • - bell pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Take one thoroughly washed and dried bell pepper and place it horizontally on a vegetable chopping board with the stalk on the side of the hand in which you are holding the knife. Use a regular, well-sharpened kitchen knife.

Step 2

Hold the pepper with your free hand and use a knife to cut off the top of the bell pepper in such a way as to cut off the tail and expose the seeds and partitions inside the vegetable. Loosen the cut portion of the pepper from the ponytail and set it aside so you can chop it up later. Cut off a small portion of the opposite end of the pepper, and set that portion of the pepper aside as well. Now both ends of your peppers are cut off.

Step 3

Place the bell peppers upright on a chopping board. Gently cut the peppers lengthwise from one side. We draw your attention to the fact that the pepper must be cut only on one side, you should not cut the bell pepper in half - this will complicate its further cleaning of seeds.

Step 4

Lay the vegetable on its side and gently run the knife along the inside of it, while removing the seeds and membranes inside the pepper. It is most convenient to perform this action with a knife for peeling vegetables, but if you do not have one, then you can continue to work with an ordinary, well-sharpened kitchen knife.

Step 5

Unroll the peppers on the board with the inside facing up and start slicing the strips - lengthwise or sideways, depending on how you want to decorate your dish. For convenience, you can cut the resulting strip of pepper in half to make the straws shorter. Also, with this cleaning of the vegetable, it will be most convenient to grind it into neat cubes that fit perfectly into the salad.

Step 6

Dice the set pieces of bell pepper, or cut them into arbitrary geometric shapes and decorate your dish.
