How to choose the right cottage cheese
1. When buying cottage cheese in a store, carefully read the composition on the label. Curd should be made only from natural milk, and not from vegetable fats.
2. Pay attention to expiration dates. Expired cottage cheese can cause severe poisoning. It has a shelf life of about a week, a shelf life of more than 10 days should be suspicious.
3. Good fresh curd should be crumbly, white in color and without a pungent odor. Spoiled or stale cottage cheese acquires a yellowish color and hardness.
4. Store the purchased cottage cheese in the refrigerator for no more than 3 days.
