Step 1
Marzipan mass for making cake roses can be purchased at grocery stores, where it is sold in special bags. You should carefully remove this mass and evenly roll it out with a rolling pin, after lightly sprinkling the rolling pin with powdered sugar so that the marzipan mass does not stick to it. Further, based on what size cake you want to decorate, or in accordance with the existing idea, you need to choose the appropriate diameter of the lid with a recess or a special mold. By lightly pressing on the rolled marzipan mass, several circles should be marked throughout the entire workpiece, for example, nine pieces are perfect for making a large flower.
Step 2
Then you should carefully take the circles and wrap them, following from the center of the flower to its edges. The first petal is wrapped in a tube, and the rest naturally, since the marzipan mass is sticky by itself, attach to the previous one, moving in a circular direction. In this case, you should sprinkle your fingers with powdered sugar so that the petals do not stick to them.
Step 3
Next, you need to give some petals a varied bend, especially those close to the edge. This can be achieved by slowly bending petal by petal downward, starting with the outermost ones. If necessary, you can create an original composition of similar flowers.
