Although controversy about the benefits and harms of coffee continues to persist among physicians, the number of coffee addicts is not decreasing. Moreover, some of them refer to the fact that instant coffee causes less harm to the body. Is it really? And which coffee should be preferred?
Which coffee is healthier?
Coffee invigorates perfectly. A similar effect is achieved thanks to the caffeine contained in its beans. Ground coffee contains approximately 115 mg of caffeine per 125 grams, and instant coffee contains twice as much.
In other words, a cup of natural coffee will provide a much greater boost of vivacity.
Nevertheless, doctors publicly declare that caffeine has a bad effect on the body, has a destructive effect and is contraindicated for people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. But instant coffee does not have a detrimental effect on the heart, but, on the contrary, is even useful. Studies have shown that people who consume about 5 cups of instant coffee a day are much less likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease than those who do not. Ground coffee was not used for the experiment, since in this case everything depends on the method of its preparation.
In turn, Japanese scientists have proven that the use of ground coffee, rich in antioxidants, reduces the risk of liver cancer, but instant coffee is harmful to those with increased acidity. In addition, after prolonged treatment, carcinogens begin to accumulate in instant coffee, which can provoke the appearance of a tumor, and an abundance of preservatives can cause metabolic disorders and, as a result, the formation of cellulite.
If you are on a diet and do not yet know which coffee to prefer, then in fact it does not really matter. Coffee itself, both instant and ground coffee, does not have much of an effect on weight, as these drinks are very low in calories. In this case, coffee with milk, cream or sugar will become harmful.
It's all about the way of cooking
In the case of instant coffee, the method of preparation does not play a big role, since the properties of the drink do not change, and it does not matter at all whether you poured the coffee with cold or hot water.
In the situation with ground coffee, everything is much more complicated.
Some scientists have been conducting research for a long time trying to identify the relationship between the consumption of natural coffee and the level of cholesterol in the blood.
Oddly enough, but it all depends on the method of preparation of the drink. In the case of espresso, when ground coffee is passed through steam, or with simple boiling in a turk, cofestrol and caffeol are released from the beans, provoking high cholesterol levels in the blood. But in instant coffee, these substances are initially absent. You can reduce their number by passing the finished coffee through paper filters. Some coffee makers include this option.
