Sausages are a product that everyone knows. The assortment of sausages in stores is huge. There are no less options for their preparation. From them you can cook a lot of dishes in every possible way and for every taste.
Stuffed cabbage rolls with sausages
This dish is interesting because cabbage rolls are prepared with sausages and this is not quite usual. The taste of the dish will surprise everyone. Especially it will delight big sausage lovers.
For this dish you need ingredients:
- 10 white cabbage leaves (take leaves from young cabbage)
- 5 pieces. large sausages (preferably semi-smoked)
- 200 g hard cheese
- fresh dill greens
- vegetable oil
- salt to taste
- Make a blank for stuffed cabbage. Peel the sausages and cut into 2 pieces. Grate cheese. Better to use a grater with medium holes. Immerse cabbage leaves in boiling water and boil until they become soft. Remove the thick part of the sheet from them. Let the cabbage leaves cool.
- Wash the dill. Get rid of excess moisture and chop finely. Combine herbs with cheese. Put the cheese filling on the cooled cabbage leaf. Place half of the sausage on it. Wrap the filling with an envelope, as is usually done with cabbage rolls. Do everything described, with all the leaves and filling.
- Heat the vegetable oil well in a frying pan. Fry cabbage rolls on both sides until golden brown.
- Serve cabbage rolls with sausages with sour cream or your preferred sauce.
- Sausages can be taken at personal discretion or replaced with sausages.
"Original" salad with sausages
Salads with sausages are no less delicious than salads with sausage or ham. But sausages should be combined with other ingredients more carefully. Many culinary experts recommend frying sausages for salads until golden brown and crusty. This improves the taste of the dish and makes it more original.
Salad ingredients:
- 350 g chicken sausages
- 1 purple onion
- 1 can canned pineapple
- 2 pcs. medium sized carrots
- mayonnaise to taste
- aromatic herbs to taste
- salt to taste
- Boil the sausages. Immediately fill them with cold water and remove the wrapping they are wrapped in. Cut the product into large enough circles. Wash the carrots. Peel and grate it on a coarse grater. Peel the onion and cut it into half rings as thin as possible.
- Open a jar of pineapples. Drain the syrup. Put them in a colander and drain the rest of the syrup. Cut pineapples into cubes. You can immediately buy pineapples that are crushed in a jar.
- Get a suitable salad bowl. Combine pineapples with sausages. Add carrots and send onions there.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise with herbs and salt to taste. Pour the resulting dressing over the salad, but do not stir yet. Let it brew for 20 minutes.
- Stir well before serving.
