Mackerel is a fish that can often be found on store shelves. It is an excellent source of protein, and also contains trace elements useful for the body: phosphorus, iodine, magnesium, zinc, potassium, calcium, as well as vitamin D.
Mackerel baked with potatoes
This is an unusual and very satisfying dish, which is suitable for a family dinner and for a festive table.
You will need:
- fresh frozen mackerel - 1-2 pcs;
- large onion - 1 piece;
- potatoes 1 kg;
- salt pepper;
- mayonnaise.
We wash the melted fish well, clean and separate the fillet from the bones, cut into portions, put in a bowl. Cut the onion into 1/4 ringlets and add to the mackerel. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, mix everything gently and leave for 20-30 minutes.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces, mix them with onions and fish, season everything with mayonnaise, salt and mix. Put the contents of the bowl in a baking dish and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. We bake for 45-50 minutes.
Mackerel in foil
You will need:
- fresh frozen mackerel - 1 large;
- green dill - 1/2 bunch;
- parsley greens - 1/2 bunch;
- salt, pepper - to taste;
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Defrost the mackerel, clean and remove the insides. Finely chop the greens, mix with salt and pepper and lightly wrinkle with your hands to make the juice stand out. We wash the mackerel, sprinkle with salt and pepper on the outside and stuff with a filling of greens. We wrap the fish in foil and put in a preheated oven. We bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Lightly sprinkle the finished fish with lemon juice.
Mackerel roll with vegetables
You will need:
- mackerel - 2 pcs;
- large carrots - 1 pc;
- onion - 1-2 pcs;
- salt, pepper, fish seasoning - to taste;
- garlic 2-3 cloves;
- sunflower oil;
- lemon juice.
My mackerel, clean, cut along the ridge and get two fillet pieces from each fish. Rub the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the onion in half rings, pepper strips and lightly fry in sunflower oil. Salt the fish fillet, add seasoning and lightly sprinkle with lemon juice. Cut the garlic into thin slices and put on top of the seasonings. We spread the vegetables on the mackerel and roll them into a tight roll. Wrap (each separately) in baking paper and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
