Many people believe that round grain rice is only suitable for cooking porridge or a side dish. But actually it is not. Round grain rice can be used to make an excellent appetizer - "Cheese croquettes with Gorgonzola" cheese.
It is necessary
- - one egg;
- - 80 g bread crumbs;
- - 100 g of round grain rice;
- - 100 g of Gorgonzola cheese;
- - grapes to taste;
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Fifteen minutes before cooking, remove the Gorgonzola cheese from the refrigerator so that it has the required consistency and temperature. Transfer the cheese to a separate bowl and knead. Add one chicken egg and stir until smooth.
Step 2
Add cooked round grain rice to a bowl of cheese and egg. When cooking rice, you do not need to add salt, as the cheese is quite salty on its own. Mix all ingredients well.
Step 3
Form balls from the resulting mass with a spoon. Roll the resulting balls in breadcrumbs. Fry the cheese rice croquettes in boiling vegetable oil. Since all the ingredients were already ready, you do not need to fry for a long time, it is enough to dip each ball into boiling oil for 30-40 seconds.
Step 4
Place croquettes on a napkin or paper towel to remove excess fat. Put the appetizer on a plate, garnish with grapes and herbs. The dish can be served at the table.
