Cooked rice can be quickly converted into a first course or a light snack - rice croquettes. Fried minced meat, a slice of sausage or a soft piece of cheese will serve as a filling.
It is necessary

- - ham - 100 g;
- - egg - 1 piece;
- - oval rice - 1 cup.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the rice in salted water so that it is viscous, not crumbly. Stir the rice during cooking, thanks to this, its upper starchy layers will be destroyed. Then cool the rice.
Step 2
Try to make croquettes with chilled rice that has been refrigerated for at least a day. Add the egg to the rice and stir the mixture with your hands; the rice should become more sticky.
Step 3
Cut ham and cheese into thin slices. If croquettes are planned as a side dish for a meat dish, then you do not need to add ham.
Step 4
Spread flour on your hands, put a tablespoon of rice in your palm, smooth it into a cake. Place folded cheese and ham in half in the middle.
Step 5
Cover the croquet with another spoonful of rice and form a ball. Roll the product in crushed breadcrumbs. If the balls come out too soft, put them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Pour deep-frying oil into a deep saucepan and heat to 190oC. If there is no special thermometer, then throw a piece of bread into the butter. Deep fat will be ready if the bread has darkened after a minute. Please note that if the temperature is higher than necessary, the croquettes will burn, if lower, the oil will penetrate into the products and they will be too greasy.
Step 7
Fry several croquettes at the same time. Readiness is determined by the emerging golden color. 1.5 minutes will be enough to cook the product. Take out the rice croquettes and place in a paper towel to get rid of excess oil. Then transfer them to a dish and serve hot.
