Tea drinking for many people is a daily ritual of calmness, concentration and complete relaxation. There is a huge variety of teas, among which Pu-erh can be distinguished, due to its amazing taste and unusual origin.
Pu-erh tea is a Chinese tea that has a non-standard production technology and an amazing taste. Primarily, the leaves are processed like green tea. The next step is to create artificial aging. This aspect is necessary for this tea to be called Puerh. This tea is dark, according to the Chinese, but it cannot be called black.
Pu-erh tea leaves ripen under the influence of external factors, not enzymes. This is what determines their difference from other species. The very algorithm for creating this drink cannot be called simple. It consists of several important stages that are unique to this tea.
Manufacturing
Chinese Pu-erh tea is created according to the following algorithm:
1. Collection of tea leaves for drying.
2. In the classical version, the leaves are dried, but the Pu-erh type requires only drying them.
3. In order for the drink to stop being green, it is intensely fried.
4. The taste of the drink becomes full and memorable thanks to the tea juice, which can be squeezed out by curling.
5. Only after all these stages should the leaves be dried.
6. Then they are pressed for subsequent packaging.
The resulting dry mixture is subjected to standard brewing. Pu-erh fans claim that this drink has a truly magical taste that perfectly complements honey, but inevitably spoils the sugar. The above steps are unchanged in the recipe for this drink.
Distinctive qualities
Experts point out that this drink is similar to wine. It also improves over time. It is this characteristic that distinguishes this tea. Its taste becomes more open and deep over the years.
In addition to all the steps listed above, the leaves must "reach" the desired condition. This requires more than a month from the date of manufacture. This period is necessary to obtain the full flavor of the drink. In case the tea was purchased a few days after the production date, it is recommended to wait about three weeks before the first sample.
It is not difficult to buy Pu-erh tea, since it cannot be called expensive or scarce. Classic Pu-erh should be completely dry, and the taste of "dampness" leaves it only after a lapse of time.
It is not recommended to add lemon to it. You can only honey and in a modest amount. Lemon is able to interrupt the taste and make it more inconspicuous and standard. The fullness of the taste is guaranteed only when the drink is drunk in its pure form.
