  • - fresh beets (2.5 kg);
  • - fresh apples of the "Antonovka" variety (2, 5 kg);
  • - fresh carrots (1 kg);
  • - table salt (5 tbsp. L.);
  • - vegetable oil (270 g);
  • - clean water (2, 5 tbsp.).

Instructions

Step 1

From the total amount of products, about 4 liters of beet salad are obtained. You must first prepare the vegetables. To do this, take the beets and rinse well. Then place in a saucepan and put on low heat. Cook until half cooked.

Step 2

After boiling, the beets should be cooled to room temperature. Then grate the vegetable and transfer to a large container.

Step 3

Next, prepare the apples. Rinse, peel and core with a sharp knife. After peeling, grate the apples on a coarse grater.

Step 4

Peel and grate fresh carrots as well. Place the apples, beets and carrots in a deep container and stir with a wooden spatula.

Step 5

Place salt and vegetable oil in a container. Stir again. Place the workpiece on the burner and turn on low heat. Bring to a boil gradually. Cook for about 10-20 minutes, until vegetables are tender. Then place the vegetables in a bowl and leave to cool down.

Step 6

While the workpiece is cooling, prepare the jars. To do this, sterilize the cans in any convenient way, and rinse the lids in water with the addition of soda.

Step 7

Put the prepared salad in jars, roll up the lids and place under a thick blanket. When the jars are cool, you can put them in a cool place.
