A method of baking chicken in the oven on a bottle is up to any housewife, even a beginner and who does not have complex culinary devices in her arsenal. The main secret to success is to properly marinate the chicken before cooking.

Step 1
Prepare the marinade. To do this, combine salt, black pepper and paprika. Squeeze the garlic with a special crusher and add to the spices. Add crushed bay leaves if desired. Grate the gutted and washed chicken inside and out with the resulting mixture and leave for a few hours to marinate the meat. You can also use mayonnaise for the marinade, but in order to reduce the calorie content of the dish, it is recommended to use low-fat yogurt, into which all the spices are kneaded.
Step 2
Prepare the bottle. To do this, carefully wash the labels and traces of glue from it. A 0.5 liter beer bottle or a glass milk bottle is ideal for cooking chicken in the oven. Fill the bottle with cold water almost to the very edge. Place a few black peppercorns in the bottle. For extra piquancy, you can use beer instead of water. Choose dark beer - it has a softer aroma and goes better with the poultry flavor.
Step 3
Place the marinated chicken on the bottle and place in the oven. Do not preheat the oven in advance, as the bottle may crack from the temperature drop. You can place the bottle and chicken in a skillet of water to make the chicken juicier. Place a few bay leaves in the water in a skillet.
Step 4
When the oven heats up, bring the temperature to 200 degrees and cook the chicken in such conditions for 20-25 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 150 degrees and simmer the bird in the oven for another 40 minutes. If the chicken is browning quickly, cover it with foil. Remove the foil five minutes before the end of cooking. Carefully remove the finished chicken from the bottle and cut into portions. Serve hot with any vegetable or pasta. In a cold form, such chicken is served cut into slices.
