The prototype of pasta appeared in ancient China. According to legend, they came to Europe thanks to the notorious Marco Polo. How is pasta made?
Pasta is a culinary product of various lengths and shapes, made primarily from wheat flour.
Stages of making pasta:
1. Sifting and refining flour
The procedure is performed on special units. The flour passes through several levels of sieves of different throughput.
2. Water preparation (boiling, disinfection)
The water is prepared in large tanks that need to be constantly renewed.
3. Kneading the dough
Prepared water and flour are mixed.
4. Processing the dough
At this stage, pasta begins to remotely take the form that we are used to seeing on the shelves. The resulting dough is pressed, compacted and cut.
5. Drying and cooling
The final stage of production. The finished products are dried at high temperatures so that all excess moisture evaporates. This is followed by cooling. After this procedure, you can already pack and store the resulting products.

It is customary to classify pasta depending on the original raw material. There are three groups:

Glassy Wheat Products
• Group "B"
Soft wheat products
