Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the cereals thoroughly in several waters in a bowl, leave some water in the container and let the rice stand for 15 minutes. The liquid should be almost completely absorbed into the cereal. Pour the rice into a saucepan and pour in filtered cold water in a ratio of 1 part rice to 1.2 parts liquid. Bring to a boil over moderate heat.
Step 2
Reduce the heat and cook the rice for 20 minutes, remembering to cover the pan with the lid. The species should be completely absorbed into the cereal. 5 minutes before cooking, you can check if there is still liquid in the pan and add a little bit if necessary.
Step 3
Leave the cooked rice for 15 minutes in the container in which it was cooked, then put it in a bowl. Add salt and granulated sugar to rice vinegar (50 ml), season the rice. You can also use a ready-made vinegar dressing. Leave at room temperature to cool.
Step 4
Cut the red fish into long, thin strips. Chop the peeled cucumber and avocado into pieces of the same size. Place a sheet of nori seaweed, glossy side down, on a special bamboo roll mat. Mix drinking water and 3 tbsp. spoons of rice vinegar and soak your hands in this liquid. Place a thin layer of rice on the nori with your hands, leave a strip a couple of centimeters wide on top.
Step 5
Step back a centimeter from the bottom and lay out the filling along. Now use the bamboo mat to gently roll the roll. Using a sharp knife, cut the roll in half, then cut each half in half, and the resulting pieces in half (the width of one roll is about 2 cm). Place on a platter and serve with soy sauce.
