Sterilization is a method of thermal processing of products, during which pathogenic microbes and bacteria die. In milk, the level of pathogenic flora is sometimes higher than the permissible norm, so it is advisable to pasteurize it. The milk on the shelves has already been heat-treated, but if you have any doubts, you can process it again. Be sure to sterilize the village milk before use, because no one has tested it.
It is necessary
-
- milk
- glass container
- enamel pan
- towel
Instructions
Step 1
Treat the container for sterilized milk. You can hold it over steam or in the microwave. In the villages, grandmothers put a small jar on the spout of a teapot and boil water, and the jar goes through the process of steam sterilization without direct human participation. But in the absence of an ordinary kettle, you can put the container in the oven for 10-15 minutes and turn on maximum heating. Put a clean container on a towel with the neck down, it is temporarily not needed.
Step 2
Pour milk into a clean enamel pot and simmer. As soon as a vigorous boil begins, turn off the gas and wait a few more minutes. Do not sterilize for too long, harmful bacteria are killed within 5 minutes after the start of the boil. Watch out for the milk, it can leave the pan without asking, and it will be very difficult to clean the stove after that. Remember to stir occasionally, the milk may burn.
Step 3
Pour hot milk into pre-prepared jars and cover with a lid. Leave it to cool or drink it hot, it will remind you of a carefree childhood with its taste and aroma. And if you add a spoonful of honey to it, the taste will turn out to be simply magical.
