Sometimes you want to pamper yourself with flavored tea, but the quality of the ingredients of the store tea is questionable. According to your mood, you can flavor tea at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Citrus
The simplest thing is to squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into a cup of tea. But you can flavor tea differently. In winter, when we most often consume citrus fruits, you can prepare the peel, which is rich in essential oils and vitamins. All the same, in most cases, the pulp is eaten, and the peel is sent to the trash heap. Or you can dry it and make delicious aromatic tea. Before use, the fruits must be thoroughly rinsed with hot water. Then peel, carefully cutting off the peel with a knife. Before drying, the peel can be chopped or rolled into beautiful roses. Decompose and dry in a dehydrator or on a battery. The dried peel can be ground into powder if desired. Store in clean, dry jars, tighten the lid tightly.
Step 2
Fruit
Raspberries, strawberries, currants, rose hips, blackberries, blueberries, apples, quince - everything that summer and autumn will give in abundance can be prepared for future use and used to flavor tea. Rinse the fruits, dry them, cut large ones, spread them on sheets and dry them in a dehydrator or in the sun. Store dried berries in a tightly sealed glass container. Add to the teapot when brewing tea for flavoring.
Step 3
Flowers and herbs
Chamomile, sage, cornflowers, tea rose, young needles, mint … All this colorful wealth can be used to flavor tea at home.
Spices and spices
When brewing tea, add cinnamon, ginger, cardamom or anise to the teapot for a warm oriental flavor.
Essential oils
Put a drop of oil on a cotton pad and put on the bottom of a tin can for storing tea. Pour dry tea on top. The leaves will be saturated with the aroma that will be given to you with every cup of freshly brewed tea.
