Boiling honey agarics before frying is a mandatory procedure. After all, these mushrooms absorb all harmful substances, and only cooking relieves them of these substances.
How long does it take to cook honey mushrooms before frying with potatoes
Honey mushrooms are ideal mushrooms for pickling. Casseroles, roasts and pies are incredibly tasty with them. A simpler, but no less delicious dish is fried mushrooms and potatoes. It is prepared quickly and easily, especially if mushrooms have already been boiled beforehand.
Honey mushrooms, like all mushrooms, absorb complex metals, poisons, so before you start frying this product, the mushrooms must first be boiled. It is believed that boiling honey agaric for 40-50 minutes almost completely eliminates harmful substances. However, this judgment is true only if during the heat treatment the water was drained two or three times and replaced with a new clean one.
How to boil honey mushrooms before frying
- Put honey mushrooms in an enamel pan and fill with cold water so that the mushrooms are completely covered with it (at this stage it is important to use cold water, it is unacceptable to pour boiling water over the mushrooms);
- Bring the contents of the pan to a boil, then remove the light foam from the surface of the mushrooms;
- Boil the water for about five minutes, then discard the mushrooms in a colander;
- Pour the mushrooms again with cold water and put on fire, add salt and spices to taste;
- Boil mushrooms over low heat for 40 minutes (it is important to darken the mushrooms for at least the specified time), not forgetting to skim off the foam as needed;
- Drain the water, dry the mushrooms and use them to prepare the planned dish.
Advice: honey mushrooms can be added to food for children only when the child reaches the age of 5 years. Since mushrooms are difficult to digest, it should be introduced into the diet in limited portions.
