White strawberries are not new to the fruit market. Its history dates back to the first half of the 18th century. Until recently, it was considered an extinct species, and today the whole world speaks of it as a berry that harmoniously combines the shape of a strawberry and the taste of pineapple. And all this thanks to the skills of Dutch farmers who have turned ordinary fruit into a commercial product.
What does a white strawberry look like?
The origin of the white strawberry, or pineapple berry, is due to the crossing of a variety of wild strawberries native to the Americas. In English, it is called pineberry, which is translated as pineapple and strawberry.
In appearance, this berry differs from the usual red strawberry in color and size. So, white strawberries are dotted with red seeds, and in size they are slightly smaller than the usual red berries for the population.
Despite the persistent pineapple odor, white strawberries are a relative of common garden strawberries. Both berries belong to the same species - Fragaria Ananassa.
Are there any pineapple allergies?
An allergic reaction of the body to red strawberries is a common occurrence for allergy sufferers. It is provoked by flavonoids, or substances responsible for the reddening of berries.
If you eat 10 strawberries every day, you can stabilize blood pressure and reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.
Anaphylactoid effect on the human body is explained by their protein composition. Due to the lack of flavonoids, the fruits of white strawberries (the British do not call them a berry) do not cause allergies, so both babies and allergy sufferers can feast on them.
Another good thing about this miracle berry is its low calorie content. Now sweet lovers can brighten up their "get-togethers" on a diet with white strawberries due to their low calorie content. In its composition fats, carbohydrates, protein and sugar are harmoniously combined.
