New Year's holidays are approaching. At this time, I want to surprise the family and guests with something new and unusual. Puff salads are not very popular, except for herring under a fur coat and "Mimosa", perhaps. This list can be expanded with a couple of more original and delicious salads.
Tenderness salad
A very unusual and delicious salad, which is suitable both for a home dinner and for a festive table.
- boiled chicken fillet - 400 g;
- boiled rice 8-10 tablespoons;
- boiled carrots 1-2 pcs.;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- Eggs - 6 pcs.;
- Mayonnaise - 1 pack (225 ml);
- hard cheese - 200 g;
- parsley - for decoration.
Peel the garlic, pass it through a press or rub it on a fine grater. Put mayonnaise in a bowl, mix with garlic. Cut the chicken fillet into small cubes and put it on the bottom of a deep bowl (salad bowl), grease it with mayonnaise. Next, a layer of rice, also grease with mayonnaise.
Rub 4 eggs on a coarse grater - this is the next layer, grease with mayonnaise. Peel the carrots and rub on a fine grater and coat again with mayonnaise. Cheese, grated on a fine grater, will be the next layer, also coat with mayonnaise. Separate the yolks from the remaining two eggs, rub on a fine grater on cheese, and make decoration from proteins: flowers, stars, bows, etc. We also use parsley sprigs for decoration, for example, as flower stems. A large amount of mayonnaise can make the salad greasy and heavy enough for the stomach that mayonnaise can be skipped in some layers.
Chicken and prune salad
- chicken meat - 500 g;
- champignons - 500 g;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- hard cheese - 200 g;
- walnuts - 200 g;
- prunes - 200 g;
- mayonnaise - 200 g.
Cut the champignons into slices, add the finely chopped onion and simmer under the lid for 10 minutes. Pour the prunes with boiling water and leave for 5-7 minutes to soften the dried fruit. Cut the boiled chicken into small pieces and mix with half the mayonnaise. Put the finished mushrooms on the bottom of the salad bowl and cover with chicken meat. Drain the water from the prunes, rinse it well and cut into cubes (you can use strips). Spread the prunes on the chicken and lightly grease with mayonnaise.
Rub hard cheese on a coarse grater - this is the final layer in the salad, grease with mayonnaise on top. Grind the walnuts in a blender (you can try to roll them with a rolling pin), until small crumbs, sprinkle them over the entire surface of the salad. If desired, the salad can be garnished with prunes or fresh herbs.
