If you are planning a family celebration and you want to please and surprise your loved ones with an unusually tasty cake, then this recipe will definitely come in handy. A sand cake with bananas and strawberries turns out to be incredibly beautiful and very tasty.
Ingredients:
- 250 g cow butter (can be replaced with butter margarine);
- 4 cups full of ripe strawberries
- 250 g granulated sugar;
- whipped whites or custard (needed for decoration, as well as for the filling);
- 2 cups full of wheat flour
- 3 ripe bananas;
- some salt.
Preparation:
- First thing you need to do is prepare the dough. This requires a deep cup. Pour the sifted wheat flour into it, half a glass of granulated sugar and the required amount of salt. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Then put a little bit softened and coarsely grated cow butter in the same cup. The resulting mass must be rubbed with a tablespoon to a crumb consistency.
- Add a tablespoon full of clean water to the dough and knead well. Thus, pour 3 or 4 tablespoons of water into the dough (knead the dough after each spoon).
- The resulting dough must be divided into two halves. Make small “discs” out of the halves. Put them in separate plastic bags and refrigerate for 60–70 minutes.
- Remove the chilled dough and use a rolling pin to form rectangular cakes. Then they should be placed on a greased baking sheet and baked separately in the oven. Cooking time for 1 cake is about a quarter of an hour (a beautiful ruddy crust should form).
- Rinse and chop the berries into small pieces and put them in a small saucepan. Add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and bananas, cut into small slices, there. Heat slightly over low heat (until sugar dissolves).
- Place the cooled crust on a dish and lay a layer of fruit and berry filling on top of it. Then cover it with a layer of custard or protein cream. On top of it, 2 cake layers are laid and it is just as well coated with cream.
- For decoration, you can use whole berries, as well as a banana cut into pieces. Let the finished cake steep for at least 30 minutes in a cool place, and then serve with tea.
