  • baking powder - 1 teaspoon;
  • vanilla sugar - 1 teaspoon

Preparation

The recipe is convenient because you can knead the dough today, and bake cookies when you want something tasty. Its beauty is that the dough for cottage cheese roses is made very simply, and the serving of the dish is very bright and, undoubtedly, your household will like it. A simple and interesting recipe from cottage cheese that will appeal to both adults and children. And everything is done very simply.

1. It is preferable to take cottage cheese for this baking ordinary, fat-free, so it turns out to be more tender and light. And when baking, the roses will not blur on the baking sheet from the high temperature. Rub the cottage cheese thoroughly with sugar. Then separate the yolks from the whites. Pour the egg yolks into a deep bowl and beat with a mixer until fluffy. Important: it is not necessary to mix the components strongly, it is enough for them to become homogeneous and viscous in consistency. If the butter has just been taken out of the refrigerator, it is best to chop it with some flour in a crumb on a cutting board. Then we move the crushed component into a clean saucer and leave it aside for a while so that the butter becomes soft. Attention: there is no need to speed up this process with the help of a microwave, as this can spoil the structure of the butter and the dough simply will not work. Next, add the curd mass. Mix everything thoroughly with a fork until a homogeneous mass is formed. Then pour the whipped egg yolks here. For flavor, you can add vanilla sugar or vanillin (your choice).

2. To make the roses tasty and lush, it is necessary not only to choose good cottage cheese, but also to properly prepare the flour. To do this, pour the component into a sieve and ask over a small bowl. So the flour will be saturated with oxygen and get rid of excess lumps. Thanks to this, the dough will turn out to be very tender and airy. The amount of flour, of course, is very conditional, since the cottage cheese is always different: either too dry or too wet. Sifted flour should be added in small portions. Important: in parallel with this, mix everything thoroughly with a fork or beat with a mixer at low speed so that there are no lumps. When the mass is thick, you need to transfer it to the kitchen table, crushed with a small amount of flour. Then continue kneading the dough with clean hands, and so on until it becomes dense and elastic. Flour should be sprinkled in little by little, in parts, after each time thoroughly kneading the dough. Attention: the finished dough should not stick to your hands, but should gather into a good ball.

3. Now you need to roll out a layer about 4 mm thick from the finished dough. Thinner is not necessary! If, when rolling, the dough immediately begins to stick to the rolling pin or to the surface, then you need to add a little more flour. Take a suitable round shape (for example, a mug with a diameter of 8 cm) and cut out the circles. These cookies are good to do with children, they can easily roll out the dough or cut circles and of course they will get a lot of pleasure!

4. Pour some granulated sugar into a saucer. Now put each cut out circle of dough on sugar, lightly press down with your hand so that it grabs properly. Sugar should only be on one side!

5. Arrange the circles with the sugar side up in groups of 3. Place the mugs slightly overlapping. Now roll the mugs into a roll (not tight). Like this:

6. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper for baking. Now cut each roll in half, put the halves on a baking sheet. From each roll, cut in half with a knife, two roses are obtained. It is not worth spreading the "petals", they will open themselves during the baking process. The curd dough just strives to creep to the sides, so there is a little trick. The finished "flower" must be pierced in the lower part with a toothpick and baked with it, and then simply removed. Thus, the flowers do not disintegrate and keep their shape well. Attention: roses can be of two options: soft, airy and slightly moist inside or crispy. It will already depend on the height. The higher - the softer, and vice versa, the lower - the more crisp.

7. Now you need to turn on the oven and preheat it to a temperature of 200 degrees. Attention: Immediately place the baking sheet on the middle tier so that it can also heat up well. With the help of oven mitts, slightly remove the baking sheet, grease the bottom and sides with vegetable oil using a pastry brush. Now lay out gently on a hot surface. Place all the roses in containers at a distance of two centimeters from each other and then put them back in the oven. Bake the dish for 15–20 minutes until a golden crust appears on the surface. During this time, the cookie should double in size. At the end, turn off the oven, and remove the baking sheet with the help of kitchen potholders and set aside. Let the roses get warm. Even hot cottage cheese roses can be sprinkled with sugar (powdered sugar), coconut or chocolate.
